The Aswang is a mysterious and malevolent creature, standing at approximately five feet tall, appearing as a mass of long grey hair that seems to float in the air. Its face bears the ferocious visage of a feral cat, exuding an aura of wild and predatory nature. With long hairy arms ending in sharp claws, the Aswang is a formidable predator that roams the night in search of human flesh.
Active during the cover of darkness, the Aswang possesses the ability to transform into a fox, shifting shapes to move stealthily and elude detection. This shapeshifting ability allows them to stalk their prey with deadly precision, taking advantage of their transformative nature to catch victims off guard and strike swiftly.
The Aswang’s hunting tactics are further enhanced by their skill in mimicking distress sounds, luring unsuspecting individuals towards them by imitating cries for help or the sounds of injured animals. This deceptive strategy enables them to draw in prey, setting up a lethal ambush to capture and feed on their victims.
In combat, the Aswang employs its sharp claws and mesmeric gaze to subdue and seize its prey, using its hypnotic influence to compel victims to approach willingly and fall into a trance-like state. Once ensnared, the Aswang consumes its prey, fulfilling its insatiable craving for human flesh and perpetuating its cycle of predation and terror in the darkened hours of the night.

Special Abilities:
  • Shape-shifting: Aswangs have the ability to transform into foxes, allowing them to move stealthily and blend into their surroundings, adding an element of surprise to their hunting tactics.
  • Distress Mimicry: The Aswang can mimic distress sounds, such as cries for help or the sounds of a wounded animal, to lure unsuspecting prey towards them, setting up an ambush to capture their victims.
  • Mesmerizing Gaze: By locking eyes with their prey, Aswangs can mesmerize and exert a hypnotic influence, compelling their target to approach them willingly and submit to their predatory instincts at -5 versus spells on a saving throw.
