Sporebound Thralls have a gaunt and haggard appearance, with sickly pallid skin stretched tight over skeletal frames. Fungal tendrils protrude from their flesh, weaving in and out of their bodies like dark veins. Small, pulsating sacs dot their anatomy, each filled with infectious fungal spores ready to be released upon unsuspecting victims. The eyes of a Sporebound Thrall glow with a sickly green light, devoid of any recognizable emotion or life.
Special Abilities:
- Fungal Infestation: As a bonus action, the Sporebound Thrall can release a cloud of infectious spores in a 20-foot radius around itself. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or become infected. An infected creature takes 2d4 poison damage at the start of each of its turns while infected. It can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
- Multi-attack: The Sporebound Thrall makes two melee attacks.
- Claw: Melee Weapon Attack: Hit: 3 (1d6) slashing damage.
- Infectious Touch: The target must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or become infected as per the Fungal Infestation ability.
- Sporeborne Resilience: When the Sporebound Thrall takes fire damage, it can use its reaction to release a cloud of spores, granting it resistance to fire damage until the start of its next turn.
